Coffee Innovation Group
The Coffee Innovation group (CIG) was founded in September 2009 to consolidate all of the coffee related products the partners have developed for the coffee industry since 2000. This esteemed group of partners are leaders in their field bringing many patented products to market.
CIG was one of the first to identify the trend of individualized single servings. They have worked hard to bring further innovation and refinement to this sector of the industry.
Each of CIG’s founding shareholders is actively involved with the management of the company. They contribute their extensive experience to the team in order to achieve CIG’s business objectives in all of the specialized coffee markets. CIG is a independent company and funded by the founding partners.
1. Cupsystem:
In 2012, CIG completed and patented the Cupsystem product, the industry’s first high convenience, capsule based, multi beverage coffee machine for both home and small offices use providing the choice of coffee or other hot beverages by the touch of a button. CIG is ready to structure the introduction of Cupsystem in The North American and European markets. During The Houseware show in Chicago Cupsystem introduces the world premiere of the Cupsystem brewer and single serve capsules for The North American market.

2. Moka Istanbul:
In 2012, CIG also completed the first single serve coffee brewer for the automatic preparation of Arabic coffee specifically designed for home use. CIG has opted to initiate the product introduction in the Turkish domestic market in partnership with a well established coffee roaster and a leading international distributor of home appliances. It is envisioned that this joint venture will develop a presence in other important Islamic and European and Latin American markets as well.

3. Centrifugal Brewing System:
Traditionally coffee is prepared by a filter or pressurized method. CIG has developed a system that serves coffee by a centrifugal brewing device.
The centrifugal brewing system is a self cleaning coffee brewer for vending and domestic applications, whereby the brewing chamber rotates instead of the traditional high-pressure brewing. By controlling the rotation speed and lead time, pre-moistening of coffee and equal distribution of the mixture of hot water and ground coffee over the permanent filter is ensured. After every serving the centrifugal brewing system cleans the permanent filter and dispenses a powder dry residue of coffee...CIG’s patented technology. A non-exclusive licensing agreement was closed with Nestlé to use the technology due to the excellent performance of the brewer.
